Milo's FUE CT Hair Transplant: the hat can come off!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For many years, Milo was known as the man with the most drawn-back hair line within the Bankzitters. Now he has a new hair line. \u201cThat feels nice,\u201d he says, about three weeks after his treatment. When he looked in the mirror for the first time, it took a while to get used to it. \u201cBut I was immediately satisfied. I immediately had this feeling: I\u2019m happy, this is what I wanted.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since then, he looks in the mirror more often than before. \u201cYou want to follow the process closely. A lot really changes, every day.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Milo's hairstyle: always that hat<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Milo didn\u2019t mind being up all night. \u201cI just assumed that I would go bald, and that in itself was fine with me.\u201d He thinks that when you\u2019re young, you often think that it\u2019s something for later. \u201cLooking back now, it was already quite clear back then.\u201d He Shrink<\/a> He lost by wearing a hat. For the past year, he actually wore nothing else. That worked until there was a wedding, or a dinner in a restaurant. \u201cYou don\u2019t put a hat on for that. Then you think: oh yeah, it\u2019s a bit different now than just during the week.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He finds a big word annoying. \u201cIt\u2019s more awkward. It\u2019s more like something you want to hide than something you\u2019re proud of.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why Milo chose a hair transplant<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The fact that Milo took this step has a lot to do with Koen van Heest<\/a>. Not only was the end result convincing him, but also his story about the process. \u201cHe told how that operation went, how the aftercare was, and that all of that came together.\u201d Koen was also adamant about the clinic. \u201cHe immediately said: if you\u2019re going to do it, you have to do it there.\u201d Without that reference, Milo might have let it go, he says honestly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The personal consultation took away the last questions. \u201cYou know exactly what you\u2019re up against and what you\u2019ll get.\u201d He was treated with the FUE CT method<\/a>. Because Milo is still young, he is being treated according to the FUE CT Youth Protocol<\/a>. In young men, hereditary hair loss can develop further. Therefore, the treatment plan also looks at the long-term: a hairline that suits the age and face, with an eye to preserving donor hair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The treatment day<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Milo wasn\u2019t nervous. He did know that it would be a long day, though. He wasn\u2019t afraid of the pain, and he didn\u2019t have any. \u201cIt wasn\u2019t at all painful.\u201d The only thing that bothered him was lying down for a long time. \u201cEspecially the last hour or an hour and a half, I really had a lot of problems with my back.\u201d He also found the first week with the neck pillow difficult. \u201cI only really sleep well when I\u2019m in bed. I did sleep moderately.\u201d Two weeks later, he had already forgotten about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aftercare as if it were the law<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The first few weeks felt almost like a vacation, because he was mostly at home. \u201cBut you\u2019re still busy all day. Washing, lotion, oil, all that stuff.\u201d Milo was strict about that. \u201cWe followed it like it was the law.\u201d He kept a list of the first seven days with a pen, and his girlfriend was quick to add: \u201cIf I take one step like that, I just wouldn\u2019t feel right about neglecting that aftercare.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Around the third week, many transplanted hairs start to fall out again. That\u2019s part of the process, explains Yilmaz. Clients sometimes send him a photo of a hair in their hand at night, asking if that\u2019s okay. \u2019No need to panic about that.\u201c For Milo, it was still exciting. \u201dI almost wanted to reapply them.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was especially afraid of his own sleeping position. \u201cI often do this at night: I put my arm behind my head.\u2019 His girlfriend came up with the solution: tying hands together. In the first few weeks, he slept with a cable loosely wrapped around his wrists. \u201dI sleep just fine. But I can\u2019t sleep with one arm over my head anyway.\u201c Only a few days ago did he start to let it go. \u201dNow I\u2019m thinking for the first time: if I were to do it, it wouldn\u2019t be a big deal.\u201c This is not mentioned in any aftercare protocol, but it says a lot about how he handled it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also meant standing on the sidelines for a few weeks. He wasn\u2019t allowed to exercise yet and had to be careful with alcohol, while the cameras at the Bankzitters were simply recording everything. When asked, he had a short line to the clinic. \u201cYou really don\u2019t have to doubt anything. And if you do, it\u2019s answered that way.\u201d The package he received, from shampoo to oil, was also good. aftercare pathway<\/a> It has seven fixed control points. During his inspection, the recovery proceeded according to schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pet off<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The first time the Banksitters saw each other again, about two weeks after the treatment, was a moment in itself. \u201cA kind of big reveal, a kind of baby shower. Take off that hat, what are we going to see?\u201d They also filmed a funeral for his old hair. Online, the patience was less great. \u201cWith everything I now post online: show your hair, take off the hat. Really everywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reactions were positive. \u201cI really didn\u2019t get one negative reaction.\u201d No one called him younger, but rather more handsome, fresher and tougher. With his buzzcut, the comparison to Eminem was also quick to follow, especially when she gets a new blonde hair color soon. His father, who is also bald and in his sixties, asked his mother half-jokingly if he shouldn\u2019t do it too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the nicknames in the group? They weren\u2019t all about his hair. \u201cAlso about my body fat percentage.\u201d A few are now falling off, he expects. \u201cBut the ones that remain will come back more often.\u201d He doesn\u2019t think he\u2019s changed himself. \u201cBut how people look at you, of course. That people say \u2018hey, bald\u2019 won\u2019t happen again, hopefully, soon.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Milo's new hair line: what's next?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Milo is still in the growth phase. He compares his attention to his head to parenting. \u201cThen you\u2019re also busy all day long with how that child is developing.\u201d When the first flakes of skin broke off, that felt like progress. \u201cIt\u2019s a bit like your child saying their first words.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For later, he now has something he didn\u2019t have before: a choice. Many people say he should keep it short. The first year it\u2019s definitely not going to be short, so the new hair can grow thicker. After that, Milo herself thinks something longer and fuller would look better on her. That aligns with Yilmaz\u2019s advice. In the hairline, finer hair is placed in the front for a natural transition. Those who wear it very short later can make the difference in density with their own, thinner hair visible. A length of about five centimeters or more covers better. The next checkup at the clinic is around the fourth month. The final result is assessed after twelve months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His advice<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Milo doesn\u2019t recommend it to just anyone. \u201cIt\u2019s obviously a big investment. And I certainly wouldn\u2019t tell people that it\u2019s necessary.\u201d Anyone who is involved in this should do a lot of research first. \u201cI would only take that step if you\u2019re really convinced.\u201d For him, it feels like a move. \u201cYou live somewhere for a very long time and you\u2019re not entirely happy with it. But when you finally take that step to leave, that\u2019s a relief.\u201d And that relief still remains. \u201cI\u2019m still very happy every day that I took that step.\u201d<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
